I’m excited to welcome Pooneet Kant as Spark’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Pooneet is already a familiar and trusted leader at Spark, having served on our Board of Directors since November 2024. Over the past year, he has worked closely with our leadership team, helping shape our strategy and developing a deep understanding of our operations, partners, and long-term ambitions. 

As Spark enters its next phase of growth, it’s clear that bringing him into an operating role was the right step.

Where Spark is headed 

Spark was built on a simple belief: independent agents are essential to helping beneficiaries navigate a complex healthcare system, but they need modern infrastructure to do it effectively. Today, more than 10,000 agents use Spark to grow faster and operate more efficiently. But brokers face increasingly complex plans, shifting consumer expectations, and carrier demands for more support. To empower them to do even more, we are deepening our capabilities to become the end-to-end healthcare navigation platform connecting brokers, carriers, and beneficiaries — fixing disjointed data and workflows so brokers can stay on top of coverage changes and serve as trusted advisors across their clients’ full healthcare journey. 

Executing this vision requires operational rigor and disciplined expansion. Pooneet’s new role is one of the ways we’re continuing to invest in leadership and systems to help our partners succeed.

Leadership for the next chapter

Pooneet built his career bringing tech innovation to relationship-based industries across health care, transportation, and real estate.

He brings more than a decade of experience in growth, expansion, and operations leadership at Uber and Compass, two category-defining companies that scaled at extraordinary speed. At Uber, he helped expand the business from 50 markets to more than 500. At Compass, he helped scale the company from 1,000 to 30,000 agents and open more than 200 offices, supporting its rise to become the #1 national brokerage by dollar volume.

Since leaving Compass in 2023, he has focused on healthcare initiatives at various stages of growth, bringing his scaling expertise into our industry at a pivotal time.

As COO, Pooneet will focus on operational excellence and building the infrastructure that enables Spark to scale with discipline and consistency.  

We are building Spark for the long term — for our agents, our carrier partners, and the beneficiaries who depend on them. Bringing Pooneet into this role reflects our commitment to doing that thoughtfully and with operational depth.
