Lead capture, client follow-up, retention, compliance — there’s no shortage of work that happens between enrollments. In this Built for AEP 2027 session, Zach Freed, Account Executive at Spark, walked through the Spark tools designed to take some of that work off agents’ plates, so you can spend less time on manual tasks and more time growing your book.
A Homepage That Puts the Important Stuff Up Front
Spark’s platform homepage brings more of the information agents need into one place.
Agents can quickly see:
- Growth opportunities: New leads and upcoming T65s that may need attention.
- Retention risks: AI-powered alerts for plan exits, terminations, and formulary changes based on carrier data.
- Contracts and licenses: Important information that’s now easier to find.
- Support: More direct access to Spark’s Navigator team when client issues come up.
The idea is simple: less digging around, more visibility into what needs your attention.
Capture Leads Without the Manual Entry
Lead capture doesn’t have to mean collecting information in one place and entering it somewhere else later.
With Spark, agents can create unique QR codes and URLs for marketing campaigns and events, sending client information directly into their book on the Spark platform.
Agents can also use Permission to Contact (PTC) forms and collect important information directly from the client, including doctors, pharmacy preferences, and other needs. Once a lead is in Spark, the information is organized in one place for follow-up.
Spark also automatically captures and organizes scopes of appointment, helping agents keep important files together.
Keep Clients Warm Without Adding Another Task to Your List
Spark’s automated retention campaigns help agents maintain client relationships long-term without constant manual effort. These are the ongoing client touchpoints that can be easy to overlook when you’re focused on selling.
Some of the automated campaigns include:
New Plan Enrollment Outreach
After a client enrolls in a new plan, Spark can send three postcard touchpoints designed to reinforce the agent-client relationship and reduce buyer’s remorse. The outreach is white-labeled to the agent.
Monthly Newsletters
Spark’s monthly newsletters give agents another way to stay in touch between enrollment conversations, with content such as healthy living tips and recipes. It’s an easy way to create a positive interaction with clients without having to build and send something every month.
AEP Retention Campaign
Before AEP, Spark can reach out to clients on your behalf to encourage them to update their needs assessment and complete their scope of appointment. That means agents can be better prepared when Oct 1 hits and go into appointments with the information they need to enroll clients right away.
Plan Exit Outreach
If a plan terminates, Spark can alert the agent so they can reach out and offer to help the client look at new plan options. The goal is to catch the change before it turns into a lost client.
Birthday Cards
Not every retention touchpoint has to be about Medicare. Spark can send handwritten birthday cards to clients, giving agents an easy way to add a personal touch.
Reviews
Spark can also prompt clients to leave online reviews on platforms like Google or Facebook, helping agents build their online presence and potentially generate more leads.
Filtering for Targeted Outreach
Sometimes the challenge isn’t having enough client data — it’s knowing how to use it.
With Spark, agents can filter their book based on information such as providers or prescriptions, making it easier to identify specific groups of clients who may need outreach. Agents can then use those lists for bulk communications, including scopes of appointment and needs assessments.
Connect Spark to the Enrollment Tools You Already Use
Sunfire Integration
With Spark’s Sunfire integration, client information can automatically carry over, giving agents a starting point for comparing and enrolling in plans. The goal is to make it easier to use the information already collected in Spark when it’s time to find the right plan for a client.
BEQ Lookup
The BEQ lookup tool uses an MVI number to pull beneficiary information from CMS databases, reducing the amount of information agents need to enter manually.
When Clients Need Help, Your Navigator Team Can Step In
Agents don’t have to handle every administrative or client-service task themselves. Spark’s Navigator team can help with complex client support requests, saving agents about 12 hours a month so they have more time to focus on their business.
That’s time that can go toward growth — or simply getting some time back in your day.
Spark offers agents an intuitive platform that integrates lead capture, client retention, enrollment workflows, and AI-driven risk alerts into one seamless solution. With tools designed to save time and enhance client relationships, Spark agents are empowered to grow their businesses sustainably, all while maintaining compliance and providing superior service.
