Tim has lived in Colorado since 2003 and is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. He has served the United States Army both as active duty and as a contractor. Also, he has served the community as a non-profit executive. Tim earned his Master's Degree in Leadership and Management from Webster University in 2015 and retired from the U.S. Army in 2005 as a First Sergeant with 20 years of honorable service. Tim currently works as a Principal Systems Engineer for Ascension Engineering Group in Colorado Springs. More notably is Tim’s servant leadership and passion for improving our community. He contributes countless volunteer hours and utilizes his personal goals to benefit his community, with a special focus on helping veterans, the homeless population, promoting equal rights, and by serving people with disabilities. Tim is an ultra-runner who helps his community through his running events. In 2015, Tim completed the Leadville 100 trail race raising $20,000 for men in the addiction recovery program at the Springs Rescue Mission. In 2016, Tim ran the 102-mile West Highland Way Race in Glasgow, Scotland, the home of the first rescue mission, raising $17,000 for the Springs Rescue Mission. Most recently in 2020, Tim completed the Maah Daah Hey Trail 107-mile race in North Dakota to raise funds for Native Americans through an organization called One Nation Walking Together. Tim is a small business owner as well. He is the founder of UpRise Performance Company dedicated to helping both athletes and businesses “awaken their best.” He is a certified yoga teacher and leads yoga classes and mindfulness training for several organizations including USA Swimming, the Army’s World Class Athlete Program, and NORAD/NORTHCOM. He is an alumnus of the Leadership Pikes Peak Signature Program (2016) and the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute at the Center Creative Leadership (2017). Recently, Tim became a licensed Medicare agent. This new adventure is another part of his passion for helping others. Tim started UpRise Medicare Solutions to empower individuals to rise up and take charge of their health care and is connected to Medicare Mentors, who provide NO COST relationship-based Medicare education and services to all Medicare eligible individuals. Above all of this, Tim is the very proud husband of Malia, the father of Kennedy and Cassidy, and stepfather to Dylan, Maia, Makena, and Maile.
